Kick-off Meeting: Hanyang University Initiates Global Energy Technology Policy Expert Training Program

On December 2, 2022, Hanyang University convened the 2022 Global Energy Technology Policy Professional Program (GETPPP) Promotion Team Meeting along with a kick-off meeting. This event was dedicated to reviewing the progress of the GETPPP project and addressing key agenda items. University officials, alongside representatives from eight collaborating organizations*, attended the event.
The agenda commenced with an opening address, followed by a congratulatory speech by Chairman Lee Bae-yong. This led to the presentation of a progress report on the Hanyang University GETPPP, which was followed by introductions from participating institutions and a discourse on international trends in securing key minerals. The session concluded with a group photo session.

Chairman of the National Education Committee, Lee Bae-yong, emphasized in her speech, "While the 20th century was dominated by natural gas and oil, the 21st century is highlighting the importance of securing key mineral resources and hydrogen energy." She also anticipated that Hanyang University's Global Energy Technology Policy Professional Program (GETPPP) will evolve into a benchmark for Korea's convergent educational programs.
In a separate session prior to the launch report, Hanyang University's GETPPP promotion team addressed the project's agenda. Discussions included the formation and management of the Human Resources Development Promotion Committee, the selection and recommendation of trainees for the second half of 2023, and engagement in hands-on education at the partner institutions.
